The Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is a unique, multi-billion dollar organization based on the fundamental principles of co-operation. It is comprised of a network of approximately 200 autonomous retail co-operatives across Western Canada along with their branch operations, and Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL). FCL is the wholesaling/manufacturing arm of the CRS, which provides the retail co-ops with a range of products and services. Pincher Creek Co-op invites applications for the position of Branch Manager at our location in Cowley, Alberta.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Branch Manager will be responsible for the daily sales floors operations with sales in excess of one million dollars, including:

  • Leadership to 4 Team Members
  • Sales, margins, expenses, inventory and sales per employee hour
  • Ordering and receiving
  • Purchasing, budgeting and inventory controls
  • Employee recruitment, scheduling and development
  • Performance Management and employee recognition
  • Merchandising and presentation
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Asset protection and Health & Safety

This position ideally requires an individual with strong hardware and lumber experience, excellent communication, and organizational skills. We are looking for a highly motivated team leader with a focus on high operational standards and customer service.
